Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith:

God exists eternally as three persons God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; His sovereignty and grace is present and seen in creation, providence, revelation, redemption and final judgment. (Matthew 28:19, 1Corinthians 12:4–6,       2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 9:14)

The Bible is God’s word, it is God-breathed, without error, and entirely trustworthy; it is the final authority for our faith and living. (Psalm 19:7–8, Matthew 5:18; 2Timothy 3:16–17, Hebrews 4:12, 2Peter 1:20–21)

The Father is the first person of the triune Godhead; He has demonstrated His great love for the world by sending His beloved only begotten Son into the world as Savior and Redeemer of mankind to provide everlasting life and Fatherhood for all who believe. (John 3:16, Romans 8:14, 1John 4:14)

The Son, Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, manifested in the flesh by virgin birth; was crucified, died and is the only acceptable sacrifice for our sins; arose from the dead in a bodily form, ascended at the right hand side of the Father, is preparing a place for us, and will visibly return for us. (John 1:36; John 1:1, 14, John 14:1–6, Acts 1:9–11, 1Corinthians 15:3–9, 1Peter 2:24, 1Peter 3:18)

The Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to illuminate, regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26 and 15:13,16; Hebrews 9:14)

Every Person is a sinner and walks in rebellion to God until the repenting of his/her sins and receiving God’s gift of eternal life by trusting in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior. (Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1Peter 1:18-21)

Salvation belongs to the Lord, it is achieved wholly through grace, by faith and there is no human merit, work, or righteousness that can attribute to receive God’s gift of eternal life. Evidence of genuine faith is testified by a life of good works.  (Ephesians 2:8-10, James 2:14-26)

The New Birth is something that happens in every believer. The Holy Spirit is at work even prior to conversion and there is a real transformation that begins, Christ’s righteousness is bestowed upon the believer upon receiving His Spirit, people will have new desires, interests, pursuits in life, conduct and fruit.  (2Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20)

The Church is a taste of the Kingdom of God in a fallen world; it is composed of all believers in Jesus Christ who are born of the Spirit and are part of the Body of Christ whose Head is Christ alone. (John 3:3-8, 1Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 4:15-16)

The Future of believers is a blessed eternity with God in heaven, but unbelievers face eternal suffering separated from God in hell. (Matthew 25:46, John 3:16, 2Corinthians 5:8, 1Thessalonians 4:13–18, Revelation 20:11–15)

The Response now lies with those who have been convicted of the truth, in His sovereignty God has offered everlasting life and desires all to be saved and respond to His love and grace; wanting no one to perish and promising an eternal relationship to every sincere seeker that responds to the Spirit’s leading/conviction. (Proverbs 8:17, Jeremiah 29:13, Amos 5:4, John 1:7. 3:16–17, 5:40, 6:44, Romans 8:33, Ephesians 1:4–5, 1 Timothy 2:3–4, 2 Peter 3:9)
